This thread is dedicated to foodies who wish to share their experience in aharn Thai (Thai food) in Singapore...
Post an FR of some sort of your favourite (or least liked) Thai food joints in Singapore here in an FR format.
I would suggest a rating out of 5 (as opposed to 10). Please find the relevant ratings and their meanings:
1/5 = Gin Mai Dai Loey(cannot eat at all) 2/5 = Mai Aroy (not delicious) 3/5 = Thamada (normal or acceptable) 4/5 = Aroy (delicious) 5/5 = Aroy Mahk (very delicious)
What are we waiting for? Start eating and writing!!!

I tried Aroythai along East Coast Rd and they are quite good. But the price a bit steep if u travel to thailand often. The shop is owned by a ex Thai national Bowler, can't remeber her name, but can tell quite chio in her younger days. And the chefs they employed are from Dusit thani.
Rating: 4/5 (AROY) (seb yoo) ;D

The shop is owned by a ex Thai national Bowler, can't remeber her name, but can tell quite chio in her younger days. And the chefs they employed are from Dusit thani. Rating: 4/5 (AROY) (seb yoo) ;D Aroy Thai Restaurant Yes, it's a pretty good joint serving pretty authentic Thai food. It's authenticity is dependent on the patron though. Speak Thai to them and the authenticity increases. Been a few times, but let's talk about the last time I was there. The dishes I had were: Tomyum Talay Namsai(Clear soup Tomyum Seafood)One of the few truly namsai tomyum's I've had with no hints of chilli oil or anything red. It looks like normal seafood soup, but if you're not careful, the chillies sneak from behind you to give you a knockout punch. 4/5 Aroy/Seb YooKhanung Moo Gob (Chinese Brocolli fried with Roast Pork)Was tired of eating phad thingyg fai daeng (fried kangkong) so ordered this for a change. Vegetables were crunchy yet cooked. Good but I don't think it warrants beyond 3/5 (thamada)Gaeng Kaew Wun Gai (Green Curry Chicken)The mixture of spices were fresh and not too much of the pre-mixed type. Just the right amount of coconut milk was also used. I feel that this is about as good as you can get in Singapore. Great with white rice 4/5 Aroy/Seb YooGaeng Som Plaa (Fish in Orange Curry)Their version of this was using the Sea Bass. I felt that the richness was somewhat lacking, but on second thoughts I did tell my server not to do it too spicy. I will rate it now at 3/5 thamada until my next foray with the full spiciness to see if it's worth upping. Ratings: 3.5/5, but I believe it's closer to 4/5.

food in beer thai also not bad... owner there is the chef from seafood palace (big splash). the kah moo is aroi. 3.5/5 Agree with you on Beer Thai... Yup, the owner, Mr. Somsak is quite a celebrity in GM in that he's known for his philandering as well as culinary skills. Not a chef in Big Splash, but actually the Executive Chef. Nowadays, consults there only. These are the dishes I have tried and will rate... Khao Kar Moo - Braised Pork Leg RiceThe braise sauce (Teochews call it lor) is very very good. The fats of the pork leg, really almost melt in your mouth. The giam chye served with it and the braised egg round of this dish very well... 4.5/5. Between Aroy and Aroy Mahk. Seriously the best this side of Thailand. Kway Teow Luer (Boatman's Kway Teow)You get a choice of Sen mee all the way to Sen Yai (i.e. bee hoon all the way to thick kway teow). The broth is boatmen style with generous amounts of blood to thicken the broth into almost gravy style. Choice of either beef or pork. Don't forget to throw in lots of kaeb moo (pork crackle) if you find extra soup left in the bowl. 4.5/5 Between Aroy and Aroy Mahk

Being new in this forum, let me do my part by contributing.
There is one thai restaurant (Inside Coffeeshop) at the corner of Geylang I think Lor 6 or 8. The cook and servers all Thai and the food is really good and authentic. I really cannot tell you the name of the food and the name of the restaurant, not that i dun want but cannot remember. So sorry about that.
Ambience - 4 / 5 Food - 4.5 / 5 (Aroy Mahk)
