Hi all, anyone know whether ROM at Sg better or Thailand better?if ROM at Sg higher chance to get PR? lets say ROM at sg,then should notify the thailand side right?if yes,go to where?
i did search about CNCC(certificate of no criminal)and email to the SPF regarding something idun understand..here their reply
I refer to your e-mail dated 13 Aug 2006, pertaining to your query in obtaining CNCC.
1. Documentary Proof of Previous stay in Singapore. The arrival of date in Singapore; the stamp can be found in the passport you used when landed in Singapore before you being issued with the Employment Pass or Work Permit. Alternatively, you may provide us a letter from your company which state the period of your employment with the company.
Currently, if you are still in Singapore, the departure date will be the date when you submit your CNCC form.
2. Documentary Proof from Foreign Immigration Department; means which country requiring you to apply for CNCC.
Yours Sincerely
so,if want to ROM at thailand side,u think they will write a letter say that they need??and i am PR,pasport no need chop,so where got stamp on my pasport,if have long time liao or i think in my old pasport..

This the email i sent to MOM..
We refer to your email dated 14 August 2006.
You may wish to note that the Work Permit Marriage Restriction Policy requires Work Permit holders and ex-Work Permit holders to obtain the approval of the Controller of Work Permits before marrying a Singapore Citizen or Singapore Permanent Resident, regardless of whether the marriage is contracted in or outside Singapore.
Since you are planning to marry a foreigner who has not worked in Singapore, you do not require to seek the approval from Ministry of Manpower.
Thank you.

one thing,i am Malaysian with SPR.any brother is Malaysian marry thai?how do you apply and what procedure to apply for her to stay in Malaysia. Thanks alot wow....bro. yr case very complicated coz u are not a local. why dun u get married in malaysia instead and apply PR/LTSVP thru yr PR status in spore? i think malaysia side should be much more easier than spore. From Home affairs Departmnt 58. Essentially, we need to ensure that foreigners given PR status do not become a burden to the State. Singapore Citizens and Permanent Residents sponsoring their foreign spouses or children for PR would need to show that they are able to support them financially. Nevertheless, as I had said earlier, the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) adopts a sensitive and calibrated approach. Based on ICA’s records, the approval rates for PR and LTSVP applications by foreign spouses have been relatively stable for the past three years, at 60% and 85% for PR and LTSVP respectively.but yr case certainly quite a challenge. for me as a local, i also have many doubts and enquiries...

Read today's Straits Times on story of a Thai lady who overstayed and also sneaked in illegally as well as changed name on her passport. And... ICA is likely to approve her stay after serving her 4 mths sentence so she can stay here with her husband and their child.
